David Desbois starts his violin making training in 1996, in Mirecourt, France, until 2000 when he graduates. During the ten following years, he works in many workshops in France, Spain and Québec : among others, he continues his training with Michel Gladieux in Paris, François Pommet in Reims, Xavier Vidal in Barcelona. In 2010, he opens a violin and bow making workshop in Montréal with Emmanuel Bégin and Guillaume Giguère. With the wish to also become a bow maker, he begins a full time training with Emmanuel Bégin. They now work together in Montréal.
