Inspired by the famous “Alard” Amati from 1649, this petite 4/4 violin was commissioned by a violinist wanting an instrument that was more comfortable to play, but with a full size sound. Made from Big Leaf Maple and Sitka Spruce, and varnished with spirit varnish with gentle antiquing. Delicate and elegant looking, with a sweet and full sound. Rosewood fittings with a Bois D’Harmonie tailpiece.
