David Desbois

David Desbois started his violin making training in 1996, in Mirecourt, France, until 2000 when he graduated. During the ten following years, he worked in many workshops in France, Spain and Québec : among others, he continued his training with Michel Gladieux in Paris, François Pommet in Reims, Xavier Vidal in Barcelona. In 2010, he opened a violin and bow making workshop in Montréal with Emmanuel Bégin and Guillaume Giguère. With the wish to also become a bow maker, he begins a full time training with Emmanuel Bégin in 2015, in a new workshop that they have built in the Montréal area. 2 years later, he opens his own workshop in Montréal before being part of collectif de lutherie Montréal in 2022 where he works right now.
